By engaging with the RIC community, you can make the most of your time in college. Meet new friends, try something new. You learn more about yourself—what interests you, what matters to you, and how you can make a difference on campus and beyond.
Getting involved in co-curricular opportunities offers many benefits that can greatly enhance the college experience. Participating in activities outside the classroom, such as clubs, organizations, and events, allows students to develop valuable skills like leadership, teamwork, and time management, which are highly sought after by employers. Become career ready!
It also provides a chance to network, make new friends, and connect with others who share similar interests, promoting a sense of community and belonging. Engaging in these opportunities can complement academic learning by applying theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, boosting confidence, and providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for future career and personal success.
There are more than 60 student organizations at RIC— there is something for everyone! Get involved with the Anchor newspaper or WXIN radio station, Programming Board or Commuter Corner. Develop your leadership skills. Try something new!
Send us your events, and we will help market through social media, posters, weekly emails, newsletters, and monthly calendars. Open to all events on campus.
