Each year, from September 15 to October 15, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a time to celebrate the achievements, histories, traditions, and cultural diversity of Hispanic and Latiné Americans.
RIC is hosting a number of events to honor Hispanic and Latiné Heritage Month. We hope that you'll participate, learn, celebrate, and enjoy with us!
The 2024 RIC Latiné Summit will bring together Latiné college students, faculty, staff, and community members across Rhode Island in celebration of Hispanic and Latiné Heritage Month. Together, Summit participants will explore this year’s theme of "Empowering the Latiné Future" through conversations about career success, Latiné issues and activism, and the variety of cultural experiences within the Latiné community.
This two-day event kicks off with a "treintañera"-themed networking mixer to celebrate the Unity Center turning 30 years old. Dance and meet professionals at this fun Thursday event. On Saturday, get ready to learn and grow in meaningful discussions with keynote speakers Marcy Reyes, MSF, AFC®, Founder & CEO of the FLY Initiative and José Rosario, Founder & CEO of The Phoenix Empowered. Saturday session details will be emailed out to registrants.
