​Welcome to RIC’s Google Workspace for Education

The Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD) at Rhode Island College has partnered with Google to bring Google Workspace for Education, a cloud-based collection of applications that will help enhance teaching, learning, and research within the school.

Available at no cost to FSEHD students, faculty, and staff members, Google Workspace for Education applications create opportunities for learning, challenge users to think critically, and help streamline administrative tasks anywhere on the go.

RIC- FSEHD Google Workspace for Education accounts include the following core set of apps: Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meet and Chat, Sites, and Jamboard.


Google Workspace for Education is a suite of free productivity tools to help students and faculty interact seamlessly and securely across devices. Over 90 million students and educators leverage and trust Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals, including over 80 of the US News and World Report top 100 colleges and eight of the eight Ivy League members.

Google Workspace for Education has everything you need to enhance communication, collaboration and personal organization. With Chat Meet and Google + you can connect more easily with college and students. Tools such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides allow you to seamlessly collaborate with faculty, staff, and students as well as individuals and organizations that you part with. Google Drive is where you store and search for all of your files.

Google Workspace for Education is free for FSEHD Students, Faculty and Staff.

Students, Faculty and Staff in the FSEHD are eligible for Google Workspace for Education accounts.

FSEHD users have unlimited space in Google Drive with your account.

RIC uses Microsoft Office 365 as a primary email and calendar platform so RIC excludes Google calendar and email tools.

Google Educator Certification

Google for Education Certified Trainers are helping university teacher education programs inspire the next generation of teachers to transform classrooms with technology. The Educator Level 1 (Fundamentals) and Educator Level 2 (Advanced) training which support the Level 1 and 2 certifications respectively.
