Welcome to the RIC Family!

The parents and families of our students are our greatest partner in achieving success at RIC. It's important for our parents and families to just as informed as our students about the many resources we have available. We look forward to your important participation in our program. In addition to New Student Orientation, we are excited to invited you to join us for Family Orientation on Day 1 of the June & August Orientation date selected by your student. 

During Family Orientation, you will join New Student Programs and all of our campus partners for a variety of informative sessions, customize your experience with special curated breakout sessions with your interests in mind, panels and more! This program is designed to welcome new students and their families to RIC, have all of your questions answered by staff, faculty, and students, and prepare you and your student for the first year at Rhode Island College.

Family Orientation Sessions:

To register for a Family Orientation Panel please have your student include up to 2 guest names to the “Guest” fields during the Orientation Registration. 

Families will attend and check-in for New Student Orientation with their student on Day 1 of the New Student Orientation Program. Prior to your Family Orientation Session you will receive an email, to the email provided during registration, with details about parking, check-in, schedule and more.

Orientation Registration your student will provide guest information including an email address for up to 2 family members. We will use this email address to contact you with information regarding Family Orientation.

Staff members and current students, will be available to answer questions you have about the student experience or Rhode Island College community.  

Through conversations with our dynamic staff, and current students, family members will learn more about the resources and services available for both students and themselves.  

No payment is required.
