Celebrating the life of Dolores A. Passarelli ’74
In her 45 years at Rhode Island College, Dolores Passarelli devoted her entire professional life to her students. From guiding adults returning to school from the working world, to orientating incoming freshmen and transfer students, to advising and coordinating critical services for all students and finally, to providing one-on-one guidance to RIC’s student-athletes, Dolores was responsible for thousands of student success stories at Rhode Island College.
The purpose of the Dolores A. Passarelli ’74 Memorial Student-Athlete Success Fund is to celebrate the special relationship that Dolores shared with her students across all the sports programs at RIC. She loved working with them, and they her.
“Dolores was a Rhode Island College treasure. She was a graduate who never left the college, a staff member who always gave every ounce of energy she had to making the college great and a professional who always worked tirelessly to help students succeed. There are legions of students who will testify that they trace their success back to the support they received directly from Dolores and OASIS.” Gary Penfield, Vice President Emeritus for Student Affairs
