Support the School of Social Work

Innovative scholarship. Impactful research.
Our school offers research and development opportunities through grant-funded projects and certificate programs. We aggressively seek projects that address systemic inequities and that also provide educational and economic opportunities for our students. Project outcomes impact our curriculum, the populations being served and the social work practice at large. Current grant-funded projects include the integrated behavioral health training program, the opioid workforce expansion program and the partnership to provide mental health screenings to two of the most vulnerable communities in Rhode Island. The certificate program in nonprofit studies develops analytical and managerial skills for current and future nonprofit leaders. The certificate program in child and adolescent trauma is rooted in evidence-based practices and is supported by research conducted through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
