FACULTY/STUDENT COLLABORATION GRANT

The program is designed to encourage FSEHD faculty members to involve students their research activities. A student-collaborator must be a full time undergraduate or a matriculated graduate student enrolled in one of FSEHD programs. A minimum of three awards will be made during each academic year with no award exceeding $1000 for the academic year. The funds should be spent on student stipend only; no other expenses are allowed. The rate can be negotiated directly between the applicant and the student; recommended are $10/hour for undergraduate, and $15/hour for a graduate student. Student work must have a clear learning benefit to students. A public presentation of the results by both collaborators and a response to a brief survey will be expected.

Faculty members - recepients of the award in the previous years will be asked to rate applications, the Dean will consider ratings and make allocations. 2008/09 recepients: Kalina Brabeck; Shannon Dowd-Eagle; Greg Kniseley; Elizabeth Holtzman; Andres Ramirez; Mary Sullivan.
