Certified Health Education Specialist: Graduates pursuing the BS in Community Health and Wellness and concentrating in Community and Public Health Education, Health and Aging or Women's Health will be able to prepare for the national exam to become a Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. This exam establishes a national standard of practice for health education specialists and assists employers with identifying qualified pactioners.
Certifications in Personal Training: Students who complete the B.S. in Community Health and Wellness will be able to pursue Certifications in Personal Training based on certification qualifications. Those students concentrating in Wellness and Movement Studies and Recreation and Leisure Studies will provide students with the best foundation to prepare for certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength & Conditioning Association, American Council on Exercise, National Academy of Sports Medicine and the National Council on Strength & Fitness.
