Common Student COVID-19 Questions
You can find a vaccine close to you and register for an appointment through the Rhode Island Department of Health.
To show proof of vaccination, students must upload their vaccination card into the MediCat portal.
Students who live out of state are eligible to receive the vaccine at any clinics hosted by Rhode Island College.

RIC strongly recommends that students and non-classified employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Medical and religious exemptions are no longer required.
Mask and isolate as much as possible until you have spoken to a nurse.
Contact the Center for Health and Wellness\and speak to a nurse and an appointment for testing will be made for you. You should also self-report on the RIC website, COVID-19 page using COVID-19 Positive Student Report Form.
Please Note: Do not ask for testing at Sweet Hall if you have any symptoms. Call the center for health and wellness at 456-8055 (Option #5).
Home COVID tests are for personal use only and should not be uploaded to the Medicat portal. They are not intended for screening and surveillance on campus. Only tests from testing sites or health care providers are acceptable.
