Register for additional vaccine sites at vaccinateri.org.

Students must upload their vaccination card into the MediCat portal to show proof of vaccination.

The COVID-19 vaccine is required for all students for the fall semester. Students must upload their vaccination card into the Medicat® Patient Portal. Students can access the portal through MyRIC on a computer. The Medicat icon will allow you to sign in using your MyRIC access username jdoe_9458 and your MyRIC password.

If you are having issues logging into Medicat, you can call the Help Desk at 401-456-8803 or email a copy of your COVID vaccine card to healthservices@ric.edu. Additional information on exemptions can be found in forms in the Medicat portal.

Students who live out of state are eligible to receive the vaccine at any clinics hosted by Rhode Island College. (See above regarding schedule.)

The vaccination is required of all students. Unvaccinated students who have not received an exemption will not be permitted on campus for classes, activities or any RIC-sponsored events. The only exemptions are for either a religious or medical reason. If you wish to seek an exemption, forms and instructions are available on the Medicat patient portal. Your application will be processed and reviewed in Health Services, and you will receive further instructions in 3-5 business days, which will require your response.

Students with exemptions will be required to enter into our COVID-19 testing program, test weekly, and will need to follow additional mitigation practices (mask wearing, social distancing, daily health and wellness screenings, etc.) until vaccination is decided and completed.

Due to the higher risk of transmission and infection among unvaccinated individuals, we will need to take extra precautions to protect your health and the health of the campus community. Students with exemptions will be required to enter into our COVID-19 testing program, test weekly, and will need to follow additional mitigation practices (mask wearing, social distancing, daily health and wellness screenings, etc.) until vaccination is decided and completed.

Some students are enrolled in only on-line classes for the Fall semester.  If online-only students are in fact vaccinated, please upload your vaccine documentation into the Medicat patient portal or email a copy of your vaccine card to healthservices@ric.edu.
