A Caribbean version of John Millington Synge's The Playboy of the Western World, the play depicts the tale of a sleepy local village that awakens with the arrival of a mysterious stranger. This stranger captures the imagination of the locals by claiming to have killed his father, and in in no time he is elevated to folk hero status as the villagers romanticize his deed.
