Wosencroft Places Third in Two Events as Anchorwomen Compete at Jay Carisella Invitational
Roxbury, Mass. – Sophomore Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, R.I.) placed third in both the 400m (58.36) and the long jump (5.20m), as the Rhode Island College women’s indoor track and field team competed at the 2013 Jay Carisella Invitational, hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Center.
This was an individual meet with no team scoring.
Junior Daria Braboy (Providence, R.I.) placed fourth in the 400m (58.36) and fifth in the triple jump (11.04m)
Freshman Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, R.I.) placed sixth in the 800m (2:27.73), while junior Jenna Pare (Tiverton, RI) finished one spot higher (2:30.11).
Freshman Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, Mass.) placed eighth in the 1,000m (3:22.73).
Freshman Destinee Barrette (Warwick, R.I.) finished seventh in the weight throw (14.02m) and 13th in the shot (10.16m).
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 11.
