Rhode Island College’s Bannister Gallery.
Bannister Gallery’s first exhibit of the spring season features the artwork of Wendy Seller, assistant professor of spatial dynamics at Rhode Island School of Design. Her show is titled “Visual Metaphors: New Paintings by Wendy Seller.” In this body of work, Seller integrates digital manipulation with traditional hands-on painting, using visual metaphor as a vehicle to address topics relevant to our time.
This exhibit runs Jan. 23-Feb. 19, Tuesdays through Fridays, noon to 8 p.m., and is free and open to the public. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, 5-8 p.m., with an artist’s talk at 6:30 p.m. in the gallery. The opening and exhibit is free and open to the public.
