Academic Advising

Academic Advising is mandatory for all undergraduate degree candidates at Rhode Island College. You must consult with your advisor prior to registering for your fall and spring classes so that the Universal Advising Block (UAB) can be removed. This requirement encourages students to meet with their advisor regarding academic plans, thereby helping students stay on track for graduation. Students who have declared a major MUST see their assigned program advisor to have the UAB removed.  Students can find the name of their program advisor on their MyRIC account on the bottom right-hand corner of their Student Center page.

OASIS serves as official advisor to students in the Exploring Majors, and JAA students transitioning from CCRI. Any student who has questions concerning choice of major or any of the college's academic policies and procedures is welcome to schedule time to meet with an OASIS advisor.

Contact OASIS at (401) 456-8083 to schedule an appointment.
