Research Interests

Dr. Yedlin is interested in relationships between classroom discourse, teaching materials, and the language and literacy development of emergent bilingual students, as well as in the preparation of teachers for emergent bilingual learners. Yedlin has a particular interest in cross-cultural and cross-linguistic experiences that shape teachers’ thinking and counter deficit views of Latinx students.
