The Rhode Island Writing Project has always believed that the best professional development is also personal development! In this session come write, create art, and move your body.
In an ever-increasing dehumanizing profession, being a better teacher comes with being a happier human. We are leaning into that this summer with a range of professional development offerings, starting with our Summer Sampler: three half-days (9 am–12 pm) in July that you can take individually or as a package of three at a discount.
Writing, Art and Movement - Salt and Sand
WAM (writing, art, and movement) is breaking out of the classroom for the best of a Rhode Island summer - a morning of salt and sand at Goddard Park! We’ll write, create art, and move our bodies with the gifts of the bay as our inspiration.
Cost and Professional Learning Units
- $25 per day or $60 for all three days; PLUs provided
- $10 per day for pre-service teachers; $30 for all three days
