| Elizabeth S. Carr Scholarship Fund | Applicants can be either enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students majoring in elementary education. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and in the major. They are required to provide a statement of purpose indicating the professional area of interest and outlining their experience with children. They are also required to provide an unqualified recommendation from the Department of Elementary Education. Applicants must complete the Education 300: Concepts of Teaching I course and provide passing results from two sections of the NTE with appropriate scores for a teacher education candidate. They must demonstrate academic standing, qualify for financial need and may be required to participate in an interview. Preference will be given to a Rhode Island resident. |
