Applicants for one award must be enrolled full-time and have intentions of becoming a priest. They must also take two semester-long art history courses and qualify for financial need. Class of 1940 Educational ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time as undergraduate juniors or seniors planning a career in education. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 and qualify for financial need. Applicants are required to submit an application along with a 250-word essay detailing their background, training and future plans.

Dr. Raquel Shapiro Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be first-generation college students enrolled full time as undergraduate education majors. They must also have a minimum GPA in their major of 3.50, a minimum of 60 credit hours at Rhode Island College and qualify for financial need. Applicants must submit an application demonstrating aspirations as a teacher, counselor or school psychologist in an elementary school setting.
Dr. S. Elizabeth Campbell '31 Scholarship in EducationApplicants must be Rhode Island residents who are enrolled full-time as undergraduate education majors. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 and qualify for financial need.
Elsie M. Hurley Scholarship for Future EducatorsApplicants must be enrolled as education majors concentrating in teaching. They must also qualify for financial need or academic merit. Preference will be given to a student majoring in elementary or special education who exhibits a clear passion and enthusiasm for teaching.
Endowed Scholarship for the Support Diversity FundApplicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students and belong to an underrepresented group as defined by government census data. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development who graduated from a Providence public high school.
Gilda R. Martone '38 Endowed Scholarship for EducationApplicants must be Rhode Island residents enrolled as either undergraduate or graduate students majoring in education. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00 and qualify for financial need. Applicants must be planning for a career in teaching.
Harrington & Nolan Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be full-time undergraduates with a minimum overall GPA of 2.75. Applicants must also qualify for financial need. Preference will be given to a student majoring in education.

John Milligan '73 and Patricia M. Milligan '69 ScholarshipApplicants must be undergraduates who are re-enrolling in college. Applicants must also demonstrate the added responsibility of providing for a dependent child or children. Preference will be given to a student pursuing a career in teaching.
Lt. W. Lee Menconi Endowed Memorial Scholarship in EducationApplicants must be enrolled as full-time sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in education and qualify for financial need. Applicants must also have graduated from Central Falls High School and demonstrate qualities of good citizenship as a member of the community.
Marguerite C. Ormond Morey, Class of 1915 ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled as sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in education and qualify for financial need. Applicants must also be academically qualified, a Rhode Island resident for at least four years and a United States legal resident.
Providence Teachers' Association Memorial ScholarshipThis award is for $200. Applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate juniors majoring in education and qualify for financial need. Applicants must also demonstrate high scholastic ability and must have attended a Providence public school.
Ruth N. Smith-Robertson Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time and qualify for financial need. Applicants must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to a student majoring in education.
Sarah T. Foster Alpha Delta Kappa ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time as undergraduate juniors or seniors majoring in education. Applicants must also be female and a Rhode Island resident planning a career in teaching.
Singleton Family Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time, major in education and plan for a career in teaching. Applicants must also be a Central Falls resident and a graduate of Central Falls High School or St. Raphael's Academy in Pawtucket.
Susan M. Flynn Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be education majors and have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5. Applicants must also qualify for financial need and be a graduate of any Rhode Island high school. Preference will be given to a graduate of Lincoln public schools.
The Dolores Palombo Memorial Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time as undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in education. Applicants must also have an minimum overall GPA of 2.50 and qualify for financial need.
The Kanakry-Clarke Endowed ScholarshipApplicants can either be full-time or part-time undergraduates majoring in education. Applicants must also have a minimum GPA in the major of 3.50 and submit an application letter indicating why they qualify for this award.
The Mary S. McGrath '48 Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time and major in education. Applicants must also be a graduate of Tolman High School.

Anne Beirne Saute '37 Scholarship for Elementary EducationApplicants must be full-time elementary education majors who demonstrate a commitment to becoming an effective teacher. Applicants must also qualify for financial need. Preference will be given to a Rhode Island resident.
Betty M. Challgren '65, MAT '69 ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time and major in education with a minimum overall GPA of 3.5. Applicants must also demonstrate good academic standing and qualify for financial need.
Elizabeth S. Carr Scholarship FundApplicants can be either enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students majoring in elementary education. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and in the major. They are required to provide a statement of purpose indicating the professional area of interest and outlining their experience with children. They are also required to provide an unqualified recommendation from the Department of Elementary Education. Applicants must complete the Education 300: Concepts of Teaching I course and provide passing results from two sections of the NTE with appropriate scores for a teacher education candidate. They must demonstrate academic standing, qualify for financial need and may be required to participate in an interview. Preference will be given to a Rhode Island resident.
Ethel Murphy '24 ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full-time as undergraduates majoring in elementary education. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 2.50 and qualify for financial need. Applicants are to be a single parent and a Rhode Island resident. Preference will be given to a Cranston resident.

Preference will be given to an East Providence resident majoring in early childhood with the intentions of becoming a first-grade teacher.
Olga M. Lusi O'Brien '45 Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full-time as undergraduate juniors or seniors majoring in elementary education. They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.20 and qualify for financial need. Applicants must be a Rhode Island resident.
Phyllis Moverman Salk ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full-time as undergraduate students majoring in elementary education who qualify for financial need. Applicants are also required to submit a maximum 500-word essay on: "Why one is dedicated to educating underprivileged children or children with learning disabilities."
Phyllis St. Germain Crawford Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full time as undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in elementary education. Applicants must also be a Rhode Island resident. Preference will be given to a single mother returning to college.

They must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and complete all perquisites to student teaching by the end of the fall semester. Applicants must also demonstrate good academic standing and the potential for professional growth.
Daniel Rivers '65 and Helena Lechner ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full-time as undergraduate students majoring in elementary or secondary education. Applicants must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and qualify for financial need.
John J. Smith, Jr. '63 and Anna Veronica (Keefe) Smith '33Applicants must be enrolled as elementary or secondary education majors. If the major is secondary education, the applicant must have a concentration in mathematics. They must also display genuine interest in teaching children and have an engaging personality with strong academic standing. Applicants must be from a Cumberland elementary school or a graduate of Cumberland High School, with a minimum B GPA.

Nancy Humes '68 Endowed Scholarship for MathematicsApplicants must be a mathematics major with the intentions of becoming a secondary education math teacher. Applicants must also demonstrate strong academic standing and qualify for financial need.
Professor Helen Salzberg Endowed ScholarshipApplicants can either be full-time or part-time undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in mathematics or mathematics education. Applicants must also qualify for financial need. Preference will be given to a student majoring in mathematics education or mathematics, a first-generation college student employed and/or a student involved in extracurricular activities.

Rhode Island Council on Economic Education ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled as undergraduate education majors concentrating in history or in one of the social sciences leading to social studies teaching certification. They must also have a minimum GPA in the major of 3.0 and enter the history/social studies practicum in the semester following award. Preference will be given to a student interested in teaching economics at the pre-collegiate level who has taken the applicable economic course(s).

Andrea B. Isserlis '64 Special Education Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be full-time undergraduate education majors with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to students who qualify for financial need, but this is not a requirement.
Helen Forman '34 Special Education ScholarshipApplicants must be special education majors.
Helene Wynaught Lindstrom Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled as undergraduate special education majors. Applicants must also be a Rhode Island resident and qualify for financial need. Preference will be given to a student with a concentration in severe disabilities.
Josephine A. Stillings ScholarshipApplicants can either be full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in special education and qualify for financial need. Preference will be given to a student balancing the needs of work, family and further education.
Paul Sherlock Endowed Fund for ScholarsApplicants must be special education majors and qualify for financial need. Applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a satisfactory program toward securing their degree. Preference will be given to a Rhode Island resident.
Romeo R. Romano Endowed Memorial ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled as special education majors and provide a faculty member recommendation letter. The GPA in the major and the overall GPA will be weighed equally along with the recommendation letter.
The Abbie Hoisington Memorial ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduates majoring in special education. Applicants must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00 and qualify for financial need. The applicant's planned career must be as a special education teacher.
The Ben Moran Endowed ScholarshipApplicants can either be full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in special education. If the applicant is enrolled as an undergraduate, the applicant must be enrolled as a junior or senior. Applicants must also have a minimum overall GPA of 2.50 and demonstrate a commitment to serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
The Joseph McCormick Endowed Scholarship Applicants to The Joseph McCormick Endowed Scholarship must be rising juniors or seniors who are enrolled full time at Rhode Island College. They must have completed 60 or more credit hours, have a GPA of 2.75 or higher, be enrolled and accepted into a special education teaching concentration and submit a 500-word essay describing an enjoyable and satisfying interaction with a student(s) with disabilities. This is a new scholarship. Funding availability expected to begin in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Thomas & Louise Barry ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled full-time as undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in special education or leading to a degree in school psychology. Applicants must also have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5, qualify for financial need and be a first-generation college student.
