Who Should Participate

If you are employed or planning to seek employment as a health educator or health promotion specialist, Rhode Island College’s M.Ed. in health education will give you the advanced skills you need to work in school, clinical, worksite, community, wellness, federal, state or corporate settings.

Program Outcomes

At RIC, our expert faculty are leading researchers in the field. You will learn how to design, implement and evaluate health education and promotion initiatives; address local, state, national and global health needs; and support healthy outcomes, with emphasis on health equity and social justice. What’s more, you will be able to earn your degree while working full time. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be prepared to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist exam.
