Training and Credentials
- ALL RIC Campus Police personnel are REQUIRED to be successful graduates of a Rhode Island Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified police academy PRIOR to hiring
- ALL have served with municipal or state police agencies PRIOR TO BEING EMPLOYED by the college
- MOST have served previously in Supervisory, Investigative or Administrative capacities
- Unlike the remaining state institutions, Rhode Island College does not maintain a support staff of non-sworn personnel—with exception of the Data Management Coordinator, Clery Act Compliance
