More than 500 students and their families contributed to a 25 percent increase in attendance over last year's event.

A record crowd gathered in the Murray Center on Saturday, April 6 for Accepted Students Day 2024. The college's signature spring yield event, designed to introduce accepted students to the college community and solidify their commitment to Rhode Island College, was attended by 506 students who have been admitted for Fall 2024, nearly 100 more than last year, representing a 25 percent year-over-year increase.  The families who accompanied them brought the total attendance to nearly 1,500 people.

Accepted Students Day is designed to illustrate RIC’s student-centered approach. Seven current students shared their diverse reasons for choosing and staying at Rhode Island College, as well as what they love most about the experience. The event is a showcase for the high quality academic, athletic, artistic, and extracurricular programs; top-notch facilities; and the community’s genuine hospitality, professionalism, and RIC pride.

One family of attendees commented, "We’ve already been to two other Rhode Island institutions' accepted students day programs, and RIC’s is by far is the best!”
