Overview

Current Clinical Experience:

Phil is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Sheehan Psychotherapy Associates and a Clinical Social Worker at the Rhode Island Veterans Home 

Previous Clinical Experiences:

Phil worked in various settings to include state government, non-profit, and private practice. 

Clinical Expertise:

Phillip uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and yoga to help clients struggling with anger management, anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma (yoga is optional for clients who are interested). He combines traditional therapeutic counseling with meditation, concentration, and ethical guidelines that are emphasized in yoga practices to help his clients understand their thoughts and feelings, as well as the consequences surrounding them. Phillip truly believes in the importance of cultural competency within his practice, allowing cultural differences to enhance his relationship with his clients through respect and understanding.
