Graduate Assistant Department of Mathematical Studies
3 Full-time positions (20 hours a week)
Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the graduate teaching assistantship is to assist in an instructional capacity in support of the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Graduate teaching assistants provide professional-level instruction in MATH 010 – Mathematics Milestone for Future Success under the direct supervision of a faculty mentor. They fulfill all the responsibilities of an instructor-of-record, including lesson planning, exam preparation and grading, holding of office hours, and other related duties. Graduate teaching assistants are also expected to work additional weekly hours as tutors in the Math Learning Center.
Qualifications
- This position is only open to students enrolled full-time in the M.A. in Mathematical Studies.
