We Grant Credits for Military Training

We'll review credits on your Joint Services Transcript and your Community College of the Air Force - Air University Transcript, as well as other military trainings classified as upper level baccalaureate. We even award 4 credits for basic training.

Supporting Your Academics and Well-being

Our Military Resource Center serves military personnel, veterans, and families with information, transition assistance, education programs, counseling, and advocacy, ensuring the support they need and deserve.

The VetSuccess on Campus program coordinates the easy delivery of VA benefits/services to veteran students. RIC even has a VA Certifying Official to review and process student VA and GI Bill® Benefits Certification Worksheets each semester.

Throughout the year, Rhode Island College hosts a wide range of military-centered events and activities. Some gatherings recognize and honor our military and veteran students for their service, while others foster community, camaraderie, and engagement. RIC is committed to ensuring that students who have served our country are recognized, appreciated, and provided with meaningful opportunities to connect and build community.

Student Veterans of America Association

Rhode Island College has one of the 1,600+ on-campus chapters of Student Veterans of America® (SVA). SVA supports veterans in higher education by helping them succeed academically, professionally, and personally. RIC's chapter and the SVA facilitate programs and services, research, and advocacy that empower student veterans and promote an educational experience that extends beyond the classroom. Through SVA, student veterans at RIC find connection, support, and a strong sense of community.
