RIC has long been known for its high-quality performing arts programs. Our dance company, many music ensembles, and four major theatre performances a year mean that there's always an event you should attend!
The RIC Dance Company is an innovative and widely recognized modern dance ensemble. For many years, the company’s hallmark has been its involvement with local, regional and national dance communities.
The quality of music education at RIC is second to none. For our students, the study of music takes place on stage as well as in the classroom. Enjoy our numerous ensembles: a chamber singer group, chorus, jazz band, symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, women's chorus, and many additional smaller performing arrangements.
Each year many of our theatre students work alongside actors, directors, and managers from companies such as the Trinity Repertory Company and Looking Glass Theatre. Rhode Island College stages four major productions annually, giving you an excellent chance to see the performance and technical talents of our students.
