Graduate Assistant School Psychology Teaching Assistant

1 Part-time Position (10 Hours a week)

Duties and Responsibilities

The TA will assist faculty in CEP 601 (Fall 2026) and CEP 604 (Spring 2027) by:

  1. Supporting Student Practice: Leading lab sessions and consultations for test administration, scoring, and interpretation.
  2. Grading and Feedback: Assisting in reviewing student work, providing timely, constructive feedback on cognitive and academic assessment administrations.
  3. Research and Curriculum Development: Updating resources and contributing to course content improvement.
  4. Course Preparation and Delivery: Organizing materials, demonstrations, and online resources to ensure smooth course execution.
  5. Peer Mentorship: Acting as a mentor, the TA fosters collaboration and creates an approachable support network for students.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of CEP 601 and CEP 604 with a grade of A- or above.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and mastery of administering and scoring the following psychoeducational assessments (via CEP 601 and 604): WPPSI-V, WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WJ-IV Cognitive, UNIT-2, WIAT-4, WJ-IV Achievement, Acadience Learning Assessments, and CTOPP-2.
  • Knowledge of web-based assessment scoring systems such as Q-Global and WJ-Score.
  • Strong professional communication skills.

Preferred Availability

  • Flexible hours
  • On-Campus Tutoring Hours: 5 hours/week
  • Remote Hours for assessment scoring and feedback: 5 hours/week
