RI Residency Applications

All students applying for in-state status must submit the Rhode Island College Residency Application for Tuition Purposes Form accompanied by the documentation listed. Incomplete applications will be returned. Classification as a resident student becomes effective with the beginning of the term following the determination of residency.  The Residency Policy (S-5) was established by the Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner.

  • Fall 2025 Residency Application Deadline: Monday, August 18, 2025
  • Spring 2026 Residency Application Deadline: Monday, January 12, 2026
  • Summer 2026 Residency Application Deadline: Monday, May 11, 2026
