RIC’s Cyber Range, first of its kind in RI, offers hands-on, real-world experience in Cybersecurity/AI.
Designated as a national Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, the Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies prepares students and working professionals with the technical and business skills to meet the challenges and growing demand of the 21st century.
Join Jim Langevin, Distinguished Chair of the Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies at RIC, for a fireside chat with the Honorable Chris Inglis, the first Senate-confirmed National Cyber Director.
We offer hands-on Cyber Range training placing participants inside realistic cyberattack scenarios modeled after real-world attacks and threat actors. These exercises use real cyberattacks delivered in a safe, sandboxed environment, allowing teams to practice detecting, responding to, and recovering from incidents without risk to production systems.
Housed at the Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies at Rhode Island College, the AI Hub works to expand equitable access to training and resources so Rhode Islanders can understand what AI means for them, protect against its risks, and use it responsibly for the good of our state. We and our partners provide the public with free resources, connect RI’s current and future workforce to training on responsible AI, and convene to shape statewide strategies on AI. More coming soon, including a summit in early 2027!
