Both in the classroom and the research lab, students gain the broad-based knowledge necessary to connect and integrate various disciplines of life science.
Our students learn to use the scientific method to answer questions about the natural world; they learn to effectively communicate the rationale, methodology and evidence of scientific research; and they graduate prepared for advanced study and careers in science.
NEW - Biotechnology Undergraduate Program
Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary program and students will gain broad knowledge across fields including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and the humanities. The major is designed to provide foundational training required for work within the biotechnology industry. Prior to graduation, students will have the opportunity to complete an internship with a biotechnology company. The internship will allow students to gain additional specialized skills important for employment and make connections with industry leaders.
