Rhode Island College biology faculty are a community of scientific researchers with wide-ranging expertise. They provide both an academically rigorous and student-centered learning environment. RIC's small class sizes (lab sections have a 24-student maximum) create many opportunities for student-faculty and student-student interactions. Students gain a wide range of laboratory skills, written and oral communication skills and have the opportunity to engage in focused research experiences under the guidance of faculty mentors.
Rhode Island College is an exclusive member of the Common Application. All students applying for undergraduate admission must complete the Common Application. This includes freshmen, second degree students, re-admits and international applicants.
This fellowship is designed to strengthen the Department of Biology and attract more students.
