Fall extended hours (August 28–December 8):
Monday–Friday: 8:30 am–4:30 pm
Wednesdays: 8:30 am–6 pm
(Summer hours: Monday–Friday: 8 am–4 pm)

The Career Development Center is here to support all Rhode Island College graduates. Alumni are encouraged to connect with the Center to explore their options and/or for help in transitioning to new career opportunities, accessing job postings or for consultation on resume development or honing interviewing skills.
Handshake accounts are free to Rhode Island College students and alumni. Alumni can request access by completing a Handshake Request Account Form with their personal email account.
Handshake is our official online portal where students, alumni and employers can both seek and post job, internship, and fellowship opportunities. Handshake also provides access to Vault, a 24/7 career library that allows you to research career fields, download complete industry guides, and search for internships. You can also engage in conversations with those in your shared career interests, review sample job search documents (resumes, cover letters, etc.), get job search advice and more!

The Career Development Center offers free access to TypeFocus, a computerized assessment of occupational interests, values, and skills correlated to the job search. Understand your career assessment results with one of our counselors by booking a virtual or in-person appointment.
Student Employment allows students to work on campus or off campus at a non-profit organization. Long-term, short-term, flexible hours, weekend hours. There are opportunities to work supporting special events that run on campus such as Student Acceptance Day, Open House, Commencement among others.
