Our Mission

The Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) team's mission is to promote excellence in teaching across all curricula at Rhode Island College by combining technology and instructional design best practices to assist faculty in realizing their teaching and learning goals. We take merit in knowing educators have different teaching styles and strengths. Our role is to ensure technologies are integrated in the most effective way possible with all teaching styles. Instructional Technology offers expert assistance, advice, and support on instructional technologies and design based on best practices and educational research.

Instructional Technology Support

The CIT assist faculty with integrating technology into their teaching practices based on best practices through consultations, high-quality professional development programs, managing new instructional technology initiatives, and collaboration. Our team stays updated and informed on emerging technologies through research in education and current findings in the higher education field. This work is integrated into our workshops, consultations, and events.
