Living on campus is a great opportunity for students at Rhode Island College. Research has shown that students who live on campus do better academically due to proximity to campus academic support resources. In addition, living in close proximity to other students who are taking the same classes helps to develop networks where it is easy to collaborate and organize study groups.

Residential Life and Housing offers a living community that strives to meet students’ social needs as well as their academic ones. We support a community based on individual responsibility, where there is an appreciation of individual differences and a respect for individual rights.

Our office provides facilities that are designed to be safe, clean, comfortable, and conducive to student learning. We offer a variety of housing options from traditional residence halls to suite style living environments.

For a price break down and other policies, please refer here. Interested students should contact the Office of Residential Life and Housing for more information. The Office of Residential Life and Housing is located in the Penfield Hall. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. They can be reached at (401) 456-8240.
