The Department of Mathematical Sciences at RIC offers two undergraduate degree programs, two minors, an accelerated five-year BA-to-MA program, and a graduate degree program. We also work closely with the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development in support of a Secondary Education (Mathematics) degree program.

Get on the fast track to an advanced degree in mathematics with this unique accelerated program. Undergraduate students who meet the requirements can apply for conditional admission to the Mathematical Studies MA program.

Mathematical Studies MA

We provide a solid foundation in some of the major areas of mathematics, an appreciation for the structures and theories of advanced mathematics and a deeper understanding of the role of mathematics in the world.
