Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Lesley University, Masters in Teaching Physical Science and BA in Chemistry from RIC. Worked in industry as applications development engineer and chemist before becoming secondary certified in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and general science. Taught in early identification and bridge programs at Brown University, Times Square, and the Upward Bound Program at RIC, as well as, middle school science in Rhode Island before coming to RIC in 2000 as a faculty member. Interests and research areas are inquiry science education, instructional technology and multicultural curriculum and pedagogy.
