I decided to pursue social work as a profession as I have faced many disparities within my community as I am part of the physically disabled population. I obtained my BSW from RIC and will be completing my MSW in the Spring 2024. Becoming a social worker has given me the strength and skills necessary to fight for disparities within a large scope of those who need it. Also, being a social worker who can fluently speak, write, and read the Spanish language it will give me the availability to assist my community to the fullest extent.
