Certificate Programs for Undergraduate and Graduate Study

These certificates typically provide applied academic and/or professional training.
Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUS)
CUS programs are primarily for undergraduate-level students and:
- consist mostly of RIC undergraduate-level courses
- have significant requirements for admission and to remain in the program
- provide applied academic and/or professional training
School of Social Work CUS Program
The Social and Human Service Assistance program is currently under review.
Certificate of Graduate Study (CGS)
CGS programs are primarily for post-baccalaureate-level students and:
- consist mostly of RIC graduate-level courses
- have extensive requirements for admission and to remain in the program
- provide advanced applied academic and/or professional training

- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- Teach For America/Elementary Education - Specialized
- Teach for America/Secondary Education – Specialized
