Friends and Acquaintances, Contemporary Ceramics Collection of Craig and Martha Bachman

About the Exhibition

This collection brings together artwork that Martha and I have acquired over the past 40 years through travel, trades, friendships, and my involvement in the ceramics community. Many of these pieces were obtained during residencies at Anderson Ranch Arts Center and the Appalachian Center for Craft, as well as through my work as an artist liaison at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in the Kohler factory. Each work carries its own story and reflects the artists, places, and experiences that have shaped my path as a ceramic artist and educator. I hope viewers enjoy exploring these works and appreciate the wide range of ideas, techniques, and approaches represented in contemporary ceramics.
