You’ll join a supportive and fun community of “campers” who will work together to understand the RIWP philosophy, develop strategies for successful teaching practices, efficient daily routines, self-care, and lifelines for your first few years.
What to Expect
Two experienced teachers serve as camp counselors to lead you on your trek. We will meet in person July 21–23 & July 28–30, 11 am to 4 pm. This will include full-group gatherings, abundant individual writing time, talks from counselors and special guests, and several choices for additional learning.
We hope you will bring your hiking shoes and get ready to enter the wilderness of teaching. You’ll take away increased confidence in your identity as a teacher and writer, insights into the daily life of strong teachers, and a knapsack full of strategies to make next year less hectic, more adventurous, and truly magical.
