Rhode Island Nursing Education Center
The Rhode Island Nursing Education Center (RINEC) provides RIC Zvart Onanian School of Nursing graduate and undergraduate students access to 133,000 square feet of laboratory, classroom and office space in downtown Providence. The Center combines leading technology with a rigorous experiential learning curriculum, placing Rhode Island at the forefront of the nation in nursing education.
Classes and Programs at RINEC
RINEC provides students with access to the most technologically advanced classrooms, and a state-of-the-art simulation suite that provides comprehensive, hands-on experience.
Our degree-granting graduate nursing programs, MSN and DNP, are housed entirely at RINEC. Our undergraduate nursing students begin taking classes at RINEC in their junior year.
Students taking courses at RINEC have access to all of RIC’s student support services on the main RIC campus, including academic support, library, instructional technology, the recreation center and student activities and events.
Transportation Resources
Shuttle
A free shuttle provides all RIC students access to RINEC from the main RIC campus. Presenting a student ID allows you to board the shuttle.
Public Bus
Undergraduate nursing students have free public bus access and can always use the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus to travel directly to RINEC. Students should park in Parking Lot A on the main RIC campus to catch the RIPTA bus.
