Mr. Daniel Reyes
- Director - Learning for Life
We are here to connect students to on and off campus resources and opportunities to empower and overcome life obstacles on their journey to graduation.
Monday–Friday: 8 am–4 pm
The mission of Learning 4 Life (L4L) is to connect students to on and off campus resources and opportunities. Students served by L4L are empowered to overcome life obstacles on their journey to graduation such as, access to basic needs, managing competing priorities, and navigating the campus systems. L4L’s team of staff and trained peer mentors (Navigators) support and advocate for students.
Learning 4 Life has a team of staff and trained peer mentors who provide case management services to students. The L4L team can help students to:
"Learning 4 Life is exactly what every college campus should have, it is an all-inclusive space where students, faculty and staff can come and be welcomed with open arms, as a student who came into college afraid and not confident that I would be able to complete a college education, Learning 4 Life strengthened by confidence and serves as a compass in what seemed like a foreign land to me."
At Rhode Island College, the Learning 4 Life (L4L) Center is an inclusive space where students are welcomed with open arms. Students receive assistance with everything from addressing barriers to education as well as housing and food insecurities.
“I’m happy to see my father reach his goal of having all four of his children earn a degree from Rhode Island College,” Duarte says.
Francisca García, de cuarenta y ocho años, no solo se graduará con una licenciatura en trabajo social, sino que ya fue aceptada en el programa de Maestría en Trabajo Social en RIC.
